Ingredients:
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup peanut butter creamy or chunky
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter cold and cubed
- 1 large egg
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375F 190C
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt
Add the cold, cubed butter to the dry ingredients and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to cut the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs
In a separate bowl, whisk together the peanut butter, milk, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined
Fold in the chocolate chips
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and gently knead it a few times until it comes together
Shape the dough into a circle and cut it into 8 wedges
Place the scones on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until the scones are golden brown and cooked through
Allow the scones to cool on a wire rack before serving
