Ingredients:
- 1 cup dates, pitted
- 1 cup almonds
- 1/2 cup walnuts
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup almond butter
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup dairy-free chocolate chips optional
Instructions:
In a food processor, place the dates and process until a sticky paste forms
Place the walnuts and almonds in the food processor and process until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs
To the food processor, add the almond butter, vanilla extract, maple syrup, cocoa powder, and a small pinch of salt
Process until all ingredients are thoroughly mixed and a thick dough is formed
Mix the dairy-free chocolate chips if using into the brownie dough by folding them in
Using a spatula to smooth the top, press the brownie mixture firmly into a square baking dish lined with parchment paper
To set, put the dish in the fridge for a minimum of two hours
After the brownies cool, take them out of the dish and cut them into squares
